Ben Douglas

Ben Douglas, is the founder and creative director of Fusion.

Ben started out in show business at the age of six, working in the theatre, on advertisements and as a television presenter. He won rave reviews playing the Butler Drake in 'Annie' and presented Owl TV with Michaela Strachan as well as acting in 'The Labours of Erica' with Brenda Blethyn. After training at Arts Educational and the Rambert School of Ballet he worked as a dancer before being snapped up by Granada to be their social commentator on Livetime and co-present Sixtalk with Esther Mcvey. He also presented Perfect Parenting with Sharon Davis. In 1999 Ben expanded into the printed media and is now a fixture on the international party circuit, reporting from such glittering events as the Oscars, the Venice Film Festival and the Baftas. He is a regular contributor to the Daily Mail, Mail on Sunday, OK! Magazine, Hello, the Sunday Times and many others. As a lifestyle commentator and friend of the stars he has been the subject of articles in numerous magazines including Elle, In Style and The Stage. Along with 'It Girl' Clare Beckwith he was an Ambassador for the British Luxury Council. A passionate campaigner on youth issues, he was until recently a member of the London Appeals Board of the NSPCC.

Vicki Kiely - Owner / Managing Director

Vicki has been involved in theatre from the age of 12, performing lead roles in all her school musicals and plays. She was trained by the prestigious Ann Kavanagh, in Dublin Ireland. Vicki worked as an actor in Dublin in her early 20s, performing in numerous plays and also some TV appearances. She then studied Drama Teaching at the Royal Irish Academy of Music, and came out with Distinction. She moved full circle, and went to teach for Ann Kavanagh at her "Young Peoples Theatre" for 4 years. While there she taught Emma and Sarah Bolger who have starred in "In America" (for which Sarah was nominated for an Oscar) ". After this amazing experience, and with the great knowledge she gained from Ann, Vicki set up her own theatre school called VK Theatre Works.

Vicki, in correlation with running her school, was in a band called "The 42s" as the bands lead singer and songwriter. She has a huge passion for singing and has been trained professionally her entire life. In 2006 she moved to Hong Kong and set up Fusion with Ben Douglas in 2009.

Fusion Academy has brought much purpose and joy to Vicki's life.

With the wealth of talent at Fusion, Vicki has opened a sister company called "Pied Piper Agency" that represents children of all ages for acting, film, commercial and modelling work. We have had children cast in an HSBC commercial and in 5 different Cartoon Network TV ads so far!

Bhavini Raval - Drama Teacher

Bhavini Raval (B) is a Theatre and Performance Industries graduate from Leeds University, UK. A true Londoner, Bhavini has over 15 years performance experience in the UK and abroad. Bhavini works as an Actor, Director, Facilitator, Writer, Producer, Lyricist, Creative Consultant and Teacher. B has been lucky enough to have traveled and worked in Malaysia with the British Council, New York with the Creative Arts Team and Freedom Studio's, UK under acclaimed Artistic Director Madani Younis whom she is blessed to have as a mentor.

Bhavini has continued to work professionally since settling in Hong Kong 4 years ago, in Film and Theatre. Bhavini predominantly works as a Native English Drama Teacher, Voice Over Artist and Drama Teacher and takes an active interest in the local art scene. Bhavini has played a pivotal role in the creative works of Hong Kong based comedy sketch group CB FRESH and film company Bamboo Star. Bhavini has continued to perform in the local Hong Kong theatre scene having directed her own show, '11 Variations of Friar John's Failure', 'The V-Day Monologues' and performed in various other plays such as the shadow puppet musical 'Rupunzel', 'Suzi Wong' and 'Aresenic and Roses'. Most recently Bhavini collaborated with local French musician Dr Eggs and wrote two songs for his forthcoming album,'I'm Back'.

Bhavini relishes the opportunities to work with both local and international students and loves seeing her students creativity explode and confidence soar.

She is delighted and excited to be part of the Fusion Team Hong Kong.

Vindy Ho - Dance Teacher

Raised in Brisbane, Australia Vindy started her dance training at the age of 4 learning various styles of dance such as ballet, tap, jazz and contemporary. Since then, she has competed in many major dance competitions throughout Brisbane and undertaken numerous ballet and tap examinations with Royal Academy of Dance and Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing. She has been dancing at various shows and events such as Carols by Candlelight and RAQ Fashion Design Awards. In 2009 Vindy won first place at the FISAF QLD competition in the senior hip-hop category with her dance group and performed in several gigs within Queensland.

Alongside dance, Vindy is a highly trained music professional holding a Master of Music with Queensland University of Technology, and studied at the prestigious Queensland Conservatorium of Music. She also holds piano, theory and music teaching diploma qualifications with Trinity College of Music London. With many years of teaching experience, Vindy enjoys sharing her passion in dance and music with the students at Fusion.

Katie Hill - Dance Teacher

Originally from Melbourne, Australia, Katie has explored many forms of dance including classical ballet, jazz, jazz funk, hip hop, contemporary, tap, Ukrainian, Polish and Russian dance. Katie is a highly motivated, energetic and conscientious performer with over 20 years dance training and 7 years experience in dance teaching for all ages.

Katie is a Registered Teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance, a certified Les Mills BODYJAM Instructor and constantly involved with professional commercial dance projects in Hong Kong, China and Macau. Katie has performed for clients including Chevrolet, Volkswagon, Dewitt, CLSA, AmCham, Lane Crawford, Hong Kong Rugby Sevens, Pizza Hut, Channel V and more.

Currently completing a Bachelor of Arts in Dance Education, Katie holds a strong dedication to entertaining and educating audiences promoting health, fitness, creativity, musicality and a love for the performing arts.

Crisel Consunji - Singing & Fusion Tots Teacher

Crisel loves teaching children because she knows how it feels to be in their shoes! Having began her professional career at age 10, Crisel practically grew up in the theatre, later on performing lead roles in "The Sound of Music", "Into the Woods", and "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe." Her works earned her the Loyola Schools Awards for the Arts in 2006, and a nomination for the Philippine Aliw Awards in 2004. She has also performed on television, having hosted two multi-awarded children and youth shows, namely "Sirit!" and "Inside the Fishbowl."

Thinking that performing was "just" going to be a hobby, she decided to finish a Master's Degree in Political Science at Ateneo de Manila University. However, giving in to the call of the stage, she moved to Hong Kong in 2008 to open "High School Musical-Live!" in Hong Kong Disneyland, and eventually performed as the Cantonese-speaking Bebe in the "Golden Mickeys."

Crisel has since returned to teaching Drama in Hong Kong, particularly for creative English classrooms. She is thrilled to be working with Fusion, as it brings her back to her first love-musical theatre! She dreams of helping more children discover the joy and magic that being onstage can bring.

Adelene Chua - Dance Teacher

Adelene has been back in the Singapore dance scene for over one year now, and the city is realizing what they were missing out on. Most recently coming off a six-month stint at the prestigious Broadway Dance Center in New York City, Adelene is now thirsty for her chance to perform and express her soul through her dancing. With a vast range including hip hop, jazz, contemporary, salsa and many more styles, Adelene is an incredibly passionate and dedicated professional.

Alan Wong - Drama Teacher

Alan Matthew Wong's love for entertainment began at an early age, as he performed in school musicals and plays from 3rd grade through university. Many years later, he landed in the heart of Los Angeles, building a career as both an actor, entertainer, and teacher. An alum of both the Occidental College Theatre Department and the Broadway by The Bay Musical Theatre Conservatory, Alan had the honor of training under a myriad of incredible and influential educators and artistic minds. After graduation, his pursuit of a film/television acting career developed. Alan has been seen in work at the VC Film Festival 2007, on the Disney Channel in Hannah Montana, on ABC in an Ugly Betty Promo, as well as various other commercials and productions.

After teaching students of all ages from 4 to 24 through California, Alan has currently relocated his career from the streets of Los Angeles to the skyscrapers of Hong Kong, in hopes of further developing an international career in acting, hosting, and education. He is excited to be working with the talented students and teachers at Fusion and is looking forward to the coming year of fun.
